Dr. Amy Lehman takes the stage at CGI’s 2012 Annual Meeting

At the 2012 Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) Annual Meeting today, Lake Tanganyika Floating Health Clinic (LTFHC), in collaboration with HP, announced its commitment to action to expand its radio network over the next two years in Africa’s Lake Tanganyika basin, home to nearly 20 percent of the world’s fresh water, as well as massive new mineral discoveries in East Central Africa. This expansion will bridge a communications gap that exists between remote health centers and provide a solution for obtaining epidemiologic data among its 3 million residents, a milestone that marks a critical development in the region’s healthcare infrastructure, including its first electronic medical record.  Watch the announcement >>
