Founder Amy G. Lehman, MD, MBA and her team have spent the last 3 years traveling around the lake, meeting with governments, ship-builders and managers, logisticians, fishermen, local business people, NGOs, multilateral organizations, and–most importantly–lakeside communities. As a result, we have developed a truly unique viewpoint and expertise.  Few organizations can claim the on-the-ground knowledge of the entire Lake Tanganyika basin that the LTFHC has attained. Thus, we are ready and positioned to begin to execute our mission: build and operate a regional hospital-ship.
