Michaëlle Gocko recently graduated with a MBA in Strategic Management, Marketing Management and Entrepreneurship from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. While exploring opportunities for her next move, Michaëlle is in charge of designing and driving digital marketing strategies to support fundraising efforts and implementing new CRM tool to the organization.

Born in Brazzaville in The Republic of Congo, Michaëlle Gocko moved at an early age to France where she grew up on the northwestern region of Brittany. She studied Business and Public Administration at the University of Rennes I, before earning a Bachelor and Master in Management of Social-Economics Organizations from the University of Maine in France. She came to Chicago Booth with six years of corporate and entrepreneurship experience in digital media and B2B services in Paris at Corbis and Words Experts. She spent her 2010 summer in New York doing digital strategy work for Avon Global Business Model Innovation group, and in Chicago at Laudi Vidni, a local fashion brand start-up, implementing CRM and Email marketing software to the organization and assisting with store opening.

Her multi-cultural background and experience working in transforming industries, international and culturally diverse corporations, startups and nonprofits occupying roles in marketing, product management, sales and strategy and have make her effective and resourceful well-rounded young professional who has lived and has ties Europe, North America and Africa.

Michaëlle’s passion for Africa and impactful community work has driven her 15+ years of engagement with nonprofits: from helping her mother collecting and packing medicine from Pharmacist Without Borders for shipments to hospitals in Congo while a teenager to helping The United Way of Palm Beach County streamline its volunteer programs during a six month internship or organizing the two first Africa Business Conferences at The University of Chicago.
